If you are more angry about protestors “stealing” milk to treat tear gas victims than you are about the violence at the hands of the police force and the murder of Mike Brown, you are part of the problem.
my teacher sent a student home today because the student had had an anxiety attack earlier in the morning and she said “if you have a broken bone, you don’t just keep walking on it and damaging it more, you treat it. Your mental health is the same. Health then school.”I was about to get really angry but it took a different turn than I expectedwe really need more teachers like this
We’re here a whole week later and the police in Ferguson have still yet to understand that their treatment of people angry at the murder of an unarmed surrendering teenage boy from multiple gunshots, one of which was to the head, is wrong. This started with police brutality and has been carried along the same violent, ignorant dehumanising path.
